hello! i'm back with more flower fun facts these are about jonquils jonquils belongs to the genus narcissus. i would say it is a species of daffodil, but there's been a debate over that. the consensus seems to be that they are two different kinds of flowers, they're just really similar. i've seen some say all jonquils are daffodils but not all daffodils are jonquils. they come in yellow & white. (there's actually a shade of yellow named after them!) jonquils symbolize love, desire & affection. if we want to be more specific, they signify the desire for your affection to be returned. they also symbolize rebirth & new beginnings, due to them emerging in early spring!

do not fret, i am also basic (my favorites are tulips) there exists several hundreds species of hibiscuses that are native to warm temperate & (sub)tropical regions, the most common one being hibiscus x rosa-sinensis (aka, chinese hibiscus). hibscuses are known to only bloom for a day or two. in floriography, hibscuses are commonly associated with beauty & feminity. actually, in victorian times, they were used to signify delicate beauty! :-) funny story, there's been confusion over the years between the genus names amaryllis and hippeastrum. i'm assuming you mean hippeastrum since they are more popular. in floriography, amaryllis has several different meanings! they symbolize love, pride, strength and determination. they mean strength & determination due to their ability to grow in the colder months. another reason for some of these meanings is because of a greek myth, the love story of a nymph named amaryllis and a shepherd named alteo. sorry for the long wall of text, i hope you enjoy these fun facts!
